Continuing the Journey

As you all know, I had weight loss surgery 2 years ago now. I had made awesome progress by losing 80 pounds in the first year. As luck would have it, I got pregnant just after I had hit my one year surgery anniversary. I ended up gaining 35 pounds during pregnancy. Well the time has come.... I'm going back on the grind to losing weight. I have joined a gym and am going at least 4 days a week. I have been bicycling 4 miles on the bike at the gym and walking 1-2 miles at a quick steady pace of 3.0-3.3 mph. Walking is the best weight losing excercise there is so that's all i'm really doing right now at the gym. Most of my weight is in my mid section and before i had gained pregnancy weight, just by losing pounds, my mid section got smaller. So for right now, that's my goal. When I get my lungs used to working out again and don't have to worry so much about my excercise induced asthma, i'll start really doing a GOOD workout with rigorous cardio and weights to tone. Anyway, just wanted to update ya'll on where I stand. =)

Some New News =)

So I finally have some new stuff to report LOL.. man, our life is super busy these days, just seems like nothing is ever new though. So, first things first, we finally broke down and bought Aaron a car. It wasn't so bad carpooling when it was just him and I, but once Josiah came it was about 10 times harder. His hours werent set and he would have to start work some days as early as 4 am, which meant me getting up at 3 am to take him to work, then come home, try to get a couple more hours of sleep, wake up and get ready for work myself. well, try addin a baby into that mix and sometimes not being able to go back to sleep if Josiah decided he wanted to wake up once we got back to the house. It was just time for us to have a second car.

Now for the good news....... AARON GOT A NEW JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How ironic is that? We buy a new car because he was workin in south Everett but now he's workin in North Everett just a few blocks down from my job with almost the same hours so we can carpool LOL.... Oh well though, it makes me feel better knowing that if he's watchin the baby and there is, God forbid, an emergency, he has transportation. But I have to admit it would have been nice to spend that $1100 on something else lol. He is now working at Erickson furniture in Everett. He likes it so far, 2 days into it. He says that the people there are really laid back and we both love that he'll have a steady paycheck with no more of this commission BS. Some people reading this might not know, but at his last job, they paid commission only (he was a mover/helper for a trucking company) yet sometimes they would decide to pay hourly. Ya never knew what you were getting paid for and I would have to go through his check every pay day to make sure he got paid what he was supposed to and not one check went by that they didn't screw up. They would "forget" to pay him anywhere from $30 to one time over $200 off each check. The straw that finally broke the camels back and put the job hunt on overdrive was that his last check was only $109. Any man reading this probably knows how Aaron felt about that, he felt like less of a man because that is definitely not enough to support a family. It wasn't his fault though, his job just wasn't scheduling him, or other employees for that matter, because they were "slow". I am a firm believer of "everything happens for a reason" Not even 2 weeks after that piddly little paycheck, Aaron got a call back on a job he had applied for. He went on the interview and the guy liked him so much that he called Aaron back that same day and asked him to come back for another interview and he got it =) We both were ecstatic. It was shear happiness when Aaron got to call his boss at Air Van and say "look, my last check was $100, I can't even feed my son with that so i'm going to have to quit" LOL!! He was such a good employee that his boss asked him if he could still call Aaron for cash help jobs on the weekends LOL..SUCKAS!!!!!!!!!!!

The 3rd thing isn't really news, it's just showing off pictures of the most beautiful little boy in the world.!!!! These pictures were taken when he was 4 weeks old (5 weeks ago) but I finally got them back so enjoy!!!!
